UOG Baseball Tritons takes no break

The University of Guam Baseball Team takes no break, as the Tritons just came off a very successful first season in the Guam Major League with an 8-6 record and tied for a fifth place finish out of 12 teams in the standings.
Fall tryouts begin on Thursday and Friday of this week at George Washington High School baseball field for full-time UOG students to play baseball in the fall semester, as the Tritons will join the Guam Amateur League for their fall season in the 10-team league. The UOG squad expects most of their players from the Spring/Summer team to rejoin the squad plus add at least five new players to the roster if not more.

Coach Roke Alcantara Jr. hopes to have a roster of 18 players or maybe a few more (Amateur League allows up to 24 players). The Tritons struggled at times during the Guam Major League season with only 10-12 players available for games and the coaching staff had to play at times.
The Guam Amateur League begins play during the Labor Day Weekend coming up soon at the Okkodo High Baseball Field.
