Race for a Cause bike race this Sunday

This year’s Race for a Cause 2nd Annual Bike Race will be held on Sunday, July 24, starting at 6am in Marpi.
The long course will kick off from the former Mariana Resort & Spa to Suicide Cliff and back, and with the short course from Mariana Resort to the “Triangle” and back.
Registrations opened on July 5 and the last day will be on Saturday, July 23. The registration fee is $20, which includes a T-shirt.
Awards will be given to the overall top 3 men’s and women’s road bike and MTB, and age category.
The categories are long course, MTB, male; long course, MTB, female; long course, road bike, male; long course, road bike, female; short course, MTB, male; short course, MTB, female; short course, road bike, male; and short course, road bike, female.
There will also be a raffle drawing with the first prize of $300, second prize of $150, and the third prize of $100. There are many consolation prizes as well.
Arvin Velasco and Hernando Cristobal were the top finishers in the road bike and MTB divisions of the Race for a Cause sponsored by veteran rider Willy Barbo held last year in the inaugural race at Marpi.
