PIC Hafa Adai 5K Color Run returns
The Hafa Adai 5K Color Run—one of the island’s most colorful events—will be making a comeback after a three-year hiatus this coming July 30.
Prior to the start of the Pacific Islands Club Saipan’s signature event, a Zumba session near the starting area at the hotel’s parking lot will be held.
The run is an untimed-everyone-wins fundraising fun run that starts and finishes at PIC in San Antonio with the turning point at Aquarius Beach Tower. Non-toxic color powder made with cornstarch and food coloring from five different color stations will be thrown at runners during the fun run.
“All proceeds generated from this event will go to E-Land Community Fund, which will be spent for the betterment of Marianas community under the company’s corporate social responsibility program. The company has been engaged in diverse community outreach activities and charitable donations to local non-profit organizations,” said E-Land Corporate Social Responsibility manager Lindsay Ahn.
“Before the pandemic, the Hafa Adai 5K had become one of annual traditions where the community gathers for happy memories and fun exercise. We are glad to bring our signature event back and hope many residents of the Marianas as well as tourists would join the run,” said PIC Sports, Entertainment, and Activity director Dennis Tababa.
There will also be a chance for runners to win raffle prizes as well.
From July 1 onward, the registration fee is $15 and T-shirts are given only while supplies last.
An announcement will be made for racers to pick up their shirts and race number bibs prior to race day.
Online registration is open at https://raceroster.com/events/2022/60612/hafa-adai-5k-2022.
Registration may be done in person as well at the PIC Information Counter daily from 10am to 5pm.
