The list of sponsors for the Northern Marianas Pacific Mini Games 2022 grew longer with Islander Car Rental’s $10,000 in-kind donation to the quadrennial event, which will have its opening ceremony tomorrow at the Oleai Sports Complex.

The company affirmed its bronze sponsorship of the Games last Tuesday when managing director Simon Odoca and staff Mary Grace Bautista, Leah Capuyon, and Aileen Contrerasn turned over the $10,000 check to representatives of the Mini Games Organizing Committee at Islander Car Rental’s main office along Airport Road.

As part of the sponsorship, the company provided a special rate for athletes and officials taking part in the Games.

After the check presentation, Odoca said “We’re very fortunate that we were able to be one of the co-sponsors for the Pacific Mini Games. It’s a very momentous occasion and it’s a very big challenge for the PMG committee to set up this event here on island and we’re very happy that we’re here to be able to support the PMG committee members. Good luck, good luck to all the athletes participating in all the events.”

Mini Games transportation supervisor Marie Manebo said, “on behalf of our CEO Ben Babauta, the whole MGOC, and chair Marco Peter, we thank Islander Rental Car for their support in the Pacific Mini Games. They’re one of our biggest organizations that’s helping out. They are a bronze sponsor and without them, our transportation would be impossible.”

Meanwhile, 58 more athletes and technical delegates arrived Tuesday from Guam, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Tonga, and Palau.
