Birthday fundraiser for House bet Angel Demapan
The Committee‐to‐Elect Angel Aldan Demapan will be holding a birthday fundraiser for Demapan this Friday, May 30, beginning at 6pm at the Garapan Central Park. Demapan is one of four Republican candidates running for House of Representatives in Precinct 1.
Tickets are $25 and include two free drinks, a sumptuous dinner, and live entertainment from local bands.
Esther Fejeran‐Sound, fundraising chairperson, indicated that tickets to the event can either be purchased by contacting the Committee at 989‐5770 or at the door upon arrival.
Demapan’s committee is chaired by long‐time Precinct 1 community advocate Roy Ada, with John M. Tagabuel as vice chairman; Geri Dela Cruz, treasurer; and Vina Saures, secretary.
“This event is going to be a wonderful occasion for everyone to enjoy each other’s company as a community,” said Ada. “It will also be a great opportunity for Angel to engage with supporters about his campaign to serve the people of the Commonwealth in the Legislature.”
Demapan seeks to rebuild the spirit of community by reconnecting the Legislature to the villages.
“Legislation needs to be crafted responsibly and with full consideration of the people’s needs,” said Demapan. “As a lifelong resident of Precinct 1, I don’t just know about the hardships of our people, I live those hardships with them. I have met with residents, old and young alike, and the common sentiment is apparent: stronger, safer, and healthier communities.”
Demapan currently serves as the governor’s press secretary. He managed the CNMI Medical Referral Office in Honolulu, Hawaii, from 2006 to 2010. Demapan also served in the U.S. Army National Guard and served in the first, second, and third CNMI Youth Congress, serving as speaker for two terms.
