Corry Pangelinan continued his hot streak in the Intermediate Class after winning the division anew in the 2022 Monster Energy Point Series Race last Sunday at the Cowtown Race Track.

The 17-year-old Marianas High School student was again perfection in winning the division of Marianas Racing Association’s May race after topping both heats with 50 points.

Tristan Sablan came in second with 40 points, while Melvin Cepeda was third with 38 points.

“I wished nothing but the best for all racers! Everyone out on the track did amazing and so did my team! Also I was trying my best not to crash,” said Pangelinan when asked about his thoughts on Sunday’s race.

He also commended MRA for maintaining the track that resulted in improved racing conditions for the May competition.

“Track and race conditions were better than before because MRA had watered the track before and in between races so it wasn’t that dusty it made the races more enjoyable to watch. The weather was great as it was sunny all day but it was a little hot,” he added.

Pangelinan also thanked Team ERICCO, Pokka, YCO True Value, Marianas Natives, Herman’s Bakery and Joeten Motors for serving as his sponsors throughout the MRA season.

“And I’d like to thank my family and friends for their constant support,” he added.

In the Big Boy ATV Class, Christian “Hollywood” Camacho was blockbuster again by topping the division for the nth time with 50 points. Rex Susulin and Henry Camacho Sr. came in second and third with 42 points apiece. The former, however, edged the latter after nosing him out in the second heat.

Kassidy Camacho took the pole position in the Mini ATV Class with 47 points, followed by Theresa Borja who also had 47 points but came second in Heat No. 2. Anella Igitol was third with 40 points.

In the Peewee ATV Class, Keoni Resorio was first, Rockson Cabrera second, and Brooklynn Susulin third with 50 points, 47 points, and 38 points, respectively.

The results of the Veterans, Novice, and Expert classes will be published in tomorrow’s issue of Saipan Tribune.
