CUC spent $20.24M in Q2 of fiscal year

The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. spent $20.24 million in total personnel, operating, and capital outlays in the second quarter of fiscal year 2022 that ended last March 31, based on CUC’s unaudited fiscal year 2022 second quarter expenditures report.

Based on the report CUC executive director Gary P. Camacho submitted to the Legislature last Wednesday, it was learned that, with the $23.64 million in total personnel, operating, and capital outlays in the first quarter, this brings CUC’s total spending on personnel, operating, and capital outlays this fiscal year to $43.88 million.

From $6.71 million in total personnel expenses in the first quarter, total personnel expenses went down to $3.0 million in the second quarter.

From $139,110 in overtime cost in the first quarter, total overtime cost went up to $214,100 in the second quarter.

From $16.81 million in total operating expenses in the first quarter, total operating expenses went up to $17.17 million in the second quarter.

From $110,088 in total capital outlays in the first quarter, it went down to $61,388 in the second quarter.

Capital outlays refer to building maintenance and improvements, machinery and equipment, and vehicles.
