Field training this June means more military vehicles CNMI highways

ASAN, Guam—Joint Region Marianas advises the CNMI community of convoy operations with tactical military vehicles scheduled to support an upcoming military exercise on June 5-13.
During the convoy operations, numerous tactical military vehicles will traverse public roads on Saipan. Additionally, the public may see increased activity at the Port of Saipan and parts of Tinian associated with the FTX.

“The CNMI community has been extremely gracious in hosting military field training exercises for many years,” said Lt. Cmdr. Jeffrey Cornielle, Mariana Islands Range Complex Director. “We continue to work toward mutual cooperation with the communities where we live and train in support of homeland defense.”

The planned military activities should not conflict with the Pacific Mini Games scheduled on Saipan in mid-June.

For an opportunity to view a static display of the military tactical vehicles, contact the Commonwealth Bureau of Military Affairs office at (670) 488-0220.
For more information about the military exercise, contact the Joint Region Marianas Public Affairs Office at CJRMPAO@fe.navy.mil or (671) 349-4055. (PR)
