Green Meadow School holds commencement exercises
Green Meadow School promoted 12 kindergarten and eight elementary students to the next grade level in ceremonies held on May 17, 2014, at the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe.
It was GMS’ 4th commencement exercises for elementary and the 11th for kindergarten.
The school also issued certificates of completion to twelve 3- and 4-year old children for finishing preschool programs this school year.
This year’s top honors went to Ian Willard A. Ranin and Natalie Jane N. Hirshbein, elementary valedictorian and salutatorian respectively; K5 valedictorian Beatrice Ryza Y. Fabre and K5 salutatorian Leonard Jake Regalado.

The graduating students, their parents, and guests were honored with an inspiring and heart-warming talk that revolved around a quote from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.: “Intelligence plus character…that is the goal of true education” from guest speaker Jackie Quitugua.
Quitugua currently works with the CNMI Public School System as associate commissioner for Instructional Services. An energetic member of the community, Quitugua has been an active advocate of education for many years.
GMS president Mila Merjilla presented and confirmed the graduates before a cheering audience. Quitugua assisted Merjilla, members of faculty, and PTSA officers in awarding the diplomas, special recognitions, and awards to all the graduates. The school management and staff, expresses their heartfelt congratulations to all the graduates and to their parents. (GMS)
