Sorensen Media Group Saipan (Power 99/97.9 The Kat/ABC 7) has been named a title sponsor of the 2012 Marianas March Against Cancer. Title sponsorship is the highest level of sponsorship for the annual event and is conferred on companies that donate $3,000 or more in cash or services.

“Sorensen Media Group has been a title sponsor for the past several years and the 2012 MMAC committee is incredibly grateful for their strong support of this worthy cause. The 2012 MMAC committee extends its sincere gratitude to the staff and management of Sorensen Media Group for their contribution in the battle against cancer,” said 2012 MMAC overall committee chair Catherine Attao-Toves.

The Marianas March Against Cancer is the largest fundraising activity and the signature fundraising event of the Commonwealth Cancer Association-a volunteer-led non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting cancer awareness and prevention, providing patient support services, and serving as the liaison and advocate for cancer issues in the CNMI. All funds raised at the MMAC are spent entirely in the CNMI on cancer-related services.

“We are seeking the support of more businesses, individuals and organizations who wish to support the 2012 MMAC by donating funds, services, or raffle items. We welcome all donations so please contact our sponsorship committee chair Rachel Roque at 989-1247 or email remroque@gmail.com for more information,” said Attao-Toves.

The 2012 Marianas March Against Cancer will be held from 6pm to 6am on April 27-28 at the Hopwood Junior High School field in Chalan Piao. The 2012 MMAC is brought to you by title sponsors Delta Air Lines and Sorensen Media Group Saipan. For more information call 285-1828, email attaoc@yahoo.com or visit www.ccamarianas.org. (MMAC)
