WATER OUTAGE NOTICES
In Lower Navy Hill May 28, 2014 to June 11, 2014
Water service to residents of Lower Navy Hill may be periodically interrupted during the times of 9am to 4:30pm to allow the Commonwealth Utilities Corp.’s contractor GPPC to replace non-working gate valves located along Lower Navy Hill area. This gate valve replacement will take place starting May 28, 2014, and CUC estimates the work to be completed within two weeks. GPPC will replace the valves systematically so that smaller areas will be affected as they work their way around the Lower Navy Hill area.
This valve replacement is part of the Navy Hill Water Line and Pressure Improvement Project funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
CUC’s operations team and GPPC will be working hard to return service to our customers in these affected areas as soon as possible. Because of the scale of the work to be performed, CUC recommends that motorists exercise caution when driving through the construction sites.
