JKPL recognizes long-serving and outstanding employees

The Joeten-Kiyu Public Library presented administrative assistant Silverio DLC Balisalisa with the 2022 Joeten-Kiyu Public Library Employee of the Year award last Thursday as part of the library’s celebration of Public Service Recognition Week.

In addition, the library also presented systems librarian Omar Tababa Manacop with the Leadership Award, together with 12 other employees who were recognized for their longstanding service to the library.

JKPL recognized the following employees for longstanding or length of public service at the library:
■ 5 years: Vincent Donald Palacios Sablan and 30 years in total CNMI government, administrative officer III
■ 5 years: Beth Barcinas Demapan, technical services librarian
■ 5 years: Rosalinda Ulloa, children’s librarian
■ 6 years: Gerard Anthony Borja, library assistant III
■ 6 years: Bergitt Maratita, library assistant I
■ 7 years: Joey Songsong, computer programmer II
■ 8 years: Leoralynn Sablan Terlaje, library assistant III
■ 8 years: Omar Tababa Manacop and 26 years in total CNMI government
■ 10 years: Silverio DLC. Balisalisa, administrative assistant
■ 14 years: Ray Jr. Deleon Guerrero, computer specialist I
■ 16 years: Celina Camacho Foreman, librarian I
■ 30 yearsL Erlinda Cabrera Naputi, library director
Gov. Ralph DLG. Torres along with the PSRW Committee visited the JKPL to assist with the award presentation.

The theme for this year’s Public Service Recognition Week was “Standing Together to Serve Our Marianas.”

“People are and always will be our greatest asset. The length of service award reflects our appreciation for your dedicated years of service and is a symbol of your personal and professional achievements,” said a news statement from the library.

May 2-6, 2022 was designated as Public Service Recognition Week to recognize the accomplishments and contributions of all the hardworking and deserving public employees of the CNMI government. (PR)
