Emergency water service interruption in San Vicente, Dandan Homestead, Naftan, Obyan

Share

There will be an emergency water service interruption today, May 3, 2022, from 8:30am to 4:30pm for Commonwealth Utilities Corp. customers in San Vicente, Dandan Homestead, Naftan, and Obyan.

This is due to the isolation of a 12-inch mainline for water operators to perform an emergency leak repair located on Dandan Road near the former Pet Shop.

CUC is aware of an ongoing low-pressure condition for customers in the San Vicente, Dandan Homestead, Naftan, and Obyan areas; this repair is one aspect of returning normal service. CUC will be continuing to perform leak detection and leak repairs to help improve water pressure for the near future. Customers are advised to conserve water during this time. CUC also requests our customers’ assistance in resolving the low-pressure situation by reporting suspected leaks to the CUC Hotline at (670) 236-4333.

As a long-term solution, CUC has begun the design phase for the replacement of all service laterals in the Dandan Homestead. This project will help reduce water loss in the area and improve the customers’ water pressures.

For the safety of the men and women at the jobsite, proceed with caution or take alternative routes as the southbound lane will be closed for the duration of the leak repair. (CUC)
