Just in time for the return of the Flame Tree Arts Festival, Heavenly Bites is cooking up a special treat this weekend with new bento meals like pork lechon belly and shawarma with fries.
The owner of the food stall at Sugar King Park, Lherie Galvan, said that adding the pork lechon belly and shawarma with fries bentos to their menu is perfect timing because the Flame Tree Arts Festival is returning after a two-year absence.
It’s great that organizers chose Sugar King Park to host the event, she said, saying it will surely boost the sales of entrepreneurs like her who have made the park’s concessionaires stand their home.
Heavenly Bites opened in June 2021 after Glvan decided to go into the food business after losing her job in the hospitality industry due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
They decided to call it Heavenly Bites because “every bite feels like you’re in Cloud 9 and it’s like an escape to paradise.”
So far, Galvan said Heavenly Bites has become a go-to place for delicious snacks like their delicious beef shawarma, deep fried Oreos, sushi bake, pork sticks, chicken sticks, pork intestine sticks, poutine fries, hot Cheetos mozzarella cheese stick, walking tacos, and dynamite lumpia. Heavenly Bites’ roasted chicken and pork lechon belly have also become customer favorites.
For drinks, they offer exotic concoctions like DragoN Fruit Limeade and Island Refresher, as well as assorted flavors of pearl shakes and shaved ice.
“Heavenly Bites is different from other food stalls because people can choose from a wide range of food items from finger foods to meals and experience a new taste in every choice they make,” said Galvan.
For their upcoming first anniversary on June 1, Heavenly Bites will be having a raffle promotion. The first 20 customers that day will also have a surprise gift. Visit their Facebook page at heavenlybites670 for more information.
