There will be multiple scheduled water service interruptions between April 21-30, 2022 from 8am to 4:30pm for Commonwealth Utilities Corp. customers in China Town, Sugar King Estate, Upper MIHA, and As Falape Areas.

The scheduled water service interruptions are needed in order for CUC’s contractor to abandon the old asbestos concrete pipes and reconnect customers to the newly installed water main.

The China Town Waterline Replacement Project will provide a more reliable water system to the people of the CNMI. The project is funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The newly installed distribution line will be commissioned after passing the required testing and disinfection procedures. Expect water disruptions during the transition phase from the old water system to the newly installed PVC waterline. (PR)
