There will be scheduled water service interruptions on April 19 and 20, 2022, from 8am. to 4pm. for Commonwealth Utilities Corp. customers in China Town along Husga Avenue, Chalan Pale Arnold, Sugar King Road, Upper MIHA and Sugar King Estate.

The scheduled water service interruptions are required by the CUC China town Waterline Replacement Project contractor to connect the new water main to the existing waterline infrastructure on Sugar King Road. The work is needed to transition the water system from the old waterline to the newly installed PVC waterline. Multiple tapping points are designed for this project to provide sufficient and beneficial water services. Water service to the affected areas will resume soon after the connection.

The China Town Waterline Replacement Project will provide a more reliable water system to the people of the CNMI. It is funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The newly installed distribution line will be commissioned after passing the required testing and disinfection procedures. Please expect water disruptions during the transition phase from the old water system to the newly installed PVC waterline.

CUC continues to work diligently to minimize any inconvenience to its customers. For more information, contact the CUC Hotline (236-4333) or monitor our Facebook page for the latest updates (https://www.facebook.com/CommonwealthUtilitiesCorporation/). (PR)
