Tinian Elementary School made their cross channel plane ride worthwhile after beating two Saipan teams as the IT&E Interscholastic Co-ed Elementary School Basketball League 2021-2022 returned last Saturday at the Marianas High School Gymnasium.

Going up against Garapan Elementary School 2, the galloping Colts were mired in quicksand in the first half and led by only 1 point, 9-8. TES, however, were quicker out of the gates at the start of the second and limited the Mallards to just 3 points, while scoring 10 points themselves to win the game running away, 19-11.

Kymani Nabors led TES with 8 points, while Treven Evangelista fired 7 markers of his own for the Colts.

The Colts were more impressive in their win against San Vicente Elementary School 1. Not only did they punctured the hoops with 27 points against the Canaries, TES also didn’t allow SVES to score a single point en route to the 27-0 shellacking. Braiden Iglecias-Santos scored 8 points to lead TES, who also got 4 points each from four different players.

In other results last Saturday, Kagman Elementary School beat SVES 2, 19-10; Oleai Elementary School wiped the floor clean of Brilliant Star School, 30-4; Koblerville Elementary School drubbed SVES 1, 16-2; KobES 1 thumped GES 1, 40-3; William S. Reyes Elementary School defeated GES 1, 24-10; GES 2 got by BSS, 25-2; KobES 1 triumphed over KagES, 27-11; and KagES nipped WSRES in a low-scoring affair, 8-6.

The IT&E Interscholastic Co-ed Elementary School Basketball League 2021-2022 season is being organized by the Public School System Athletic Program with help from the Northern Mariana Islands Basketball Federation.
