Share

The Public School System’s Head Start/Early Head Start Program continues to actively accept applications for the next school year, SY 2022-2023.

Head Start/Early Head Start is a federally funded pre-school and infant/toddler program that provides comprehensive services to eligible children and families. The center-based program includes developmentally appropriate learning, family engagement, nutritious meals, health services and support for children with special needs.

Head Start serves pre-school children ages 3 to 4 years old on Saipan, Tinian and Rota. Early Head Start serves infants and toddlers aged 6 weeks to 36 months on Saipan.

To be considered for a slot for enrollment at the beginning of school year 2021-2022, submit your child’s application on or before June 10, 2022. Families will receive a notice from the program about their child’s enrollment status after it has been screened for eligibility. Any child not selected for enrollment will be placed on the waitlist. Age eligible children on our current school year 21-22 waitlist will need to submit an updated application for the new school year. The school age cutoff date is Sept. 30, 2022; children who will be 5 years old on or before that date should register for kindergarten.

For information about the application and eligibility process, call (670) 664-3761/323-7446/323-7447 or email hsehs@cnmipss.org. (PR)
