Free webinars on federal contracting
The Guam Procurement Technical Assistance Center is offering free live webinars this February and March on federal contracting. Webinars run from 10am to 11:30am and will be conducted via Zoom. Links to the live webinar and the webinar evaluation will be emailed to all registered attendees 15 minutes before the start of the webinar.
· Feb. 24 – Federal Contracting Responsibilities – Department of Defense vendors need to protect themselves from cyberattacks. We will discuss DOD’s current requirements as well as the upcoming Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC 2.0).
· March 3 – How to get HUBZone Certified – All of Guam is a HUBZone. The Guam PTAC will take you through the certification process, the required supporting documents, and follow-up requirements from SBA.
· How to get 8(a) Certified – The 8(a) program is a business development program for companies owned by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. The Guam PTAC will discuss eligibility, the online application, and follow-up documentation.
· How to get Women Owned Small Business Certified – WOSB is an official SBA certification program. We will discuss the online certification process as well as supporting document requirements.
· SBA Mentor-Protege Program – The SBA Mentor-Protégé program allows small businesses to team up with large businesses without running afoul of affiliation regulations. The Guam PTAC will update you on the eligibility requirements, the application process, and follow-up requirements.
· Responding to Requests for Proposals – The Guam PTAC will walk participants through the common sections and clauses of an RFP as well as provide tips on developing a proposal in response to an RFP.
