The show must go on and so it did as a number of Saipan venues hosted their respective Super Bowl LVI watch parties.
Guests came in all shapes and sizes. Some showed up in full football paraphernalia, while others were just happy to kick back in enjoy the big game between the eventual Super Bowl champions Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals—a welcome respite in this stressful COVID-19 times.
Over at the Pacific Islands Club Saipan’s The Magellan, about 40 gridiron fans showed up and partook of the lip-smacking breakfast and lunch buffet spread readied for them. Up to $900 in prizes were given away to the mostly Rams fans in the house.

At Hyatt Regency Saipan, the cavernous ballroom accommodated around 90 football diehards. Saipan’s West Coast bias continued at the Garapan landmark as majority who watched the game were rooting for LA. Aside from enjoying the sumptuous breakfast and lunch buffets at the venue, MARPAC also gave away some $500 in raffle prizes.
