Water outage in China Town, Upper MIHA, Sugar King Estate
There will be a scheduled water service interruption on Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022, from 8am to 4pm, for Commonwealth Utilities Corp. customers in China Town, Upper MIHA, and Sugar King Estate.

The purpose of the water service interruption is to allow RNV Construction, the contractor for the China Town Waterline Replacement project, to connect the new water main to the existing waterline at the corner of Chalan Pale Arnold and Sugar King Rd. (traffic light area next to the former Hollywood Video Rental Shop).

This project is funded through a grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Registration open for vessels seeking Safe Haven at Smiling Cove
Registration of vessels seeking safe haven at the Smiling Cove Marina during a typhoon season is now open. The application period is Jan. 1, and will close on March. 31, 2022, at 4:30pm.

The Department of Lands & Natural Resources, Division of Fish and Wildlife, Smiling Cove Marina Office Rules & Regulations Title 85: Department of Lands and Natural Resources Subchapter 85-30.2 – 330, Non-tenant Storm Condition Permit, Smiling Cove Marina Rules And Regulations is encouraging boat owners who wish to utilize the Smiling Cove Marina as a safe haven during a typhoon to apply for a Non-Tenant Storm Condition permit or renew their typhoon contingency permit at the Smiling Cove Marina Office.

Registration now open for Xavier high entrance exam
All current eighth graders in the CNMI who are interested in attending Xavier High School–Micronesia are encouraged to take the official entrance exam at 9am on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022, at the Maturana House of Prayer on Upper Navy Hill.
