Student allegedly points airgun at teacher

A male student at Kagman High School allegedly pointed what appeared to be an airgun at a male teacher inside a classroom yesterday morning.

Sources said police were called, but the student was not arrested pending further investigation.

Sources said the student allegedly made a racial slur about white Americans then pointed the airgun at the teacher.

When asked about the incident, Department of Public Safety police spokesman Travis Hurst said this is an active case and will be turned over to the Commonwealth Bureau of Investigation.

Hurst said what he has gathered so far was that a student brought an airsoft pistol to school.

Hurst said he had no information yet if the pistol was brandished or if threats were made.
