Chamorro dance on Your Humanities Half-Hour on Sun.

Frances Sablan will be the featured guest on this Sunday’s “Your Humanities Half-Hour” radio program.

Sablan, a retired educator and chairperson of the Commonwealth Election Commission, is a strong advocate of the preservation of Chamorro culture.

Sablan will be speaking on Chamorro dance. She will talk about the various dance organizations she has helped organize and support and the Chamorro values shared through indigenous dance. She also speaks about the renaissance of Chamorro dance and her own historic research and inspirations on the topic.

Your Humanities Half-Hour, hosted by Catherine R. Perry, airs each Sunday afternoon from 2pm to 2:30pm on Power 99 (97.9FM).

It features interviews with scholars, researchers, teachers, and community leaders on a wide range of humanities topics.  Be sure to tune in! (PR)
