70TH ANNUAL OPERATION CHRISTMAS DROP
Guam volunteers pack donated goods into airdrop bundles
- Volunteers pack donated goods into airdrop bundles in support of the 70th annual Operation Christmas Drop at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Dec. 4, 2021. Over the course of 10 days, crews will airdrop donated food, supplies, educational materials, and tools to 55 islanders throughout the South-Eastern Pacific, including the Federated States of Micronesia, and the Republic of Palau. The international effort will allow Pacific Air Forces and partner nation Airmen to execute low-cost, low-altitude airdrop training, which will improve interoperability and communication for future real-world humanitarian assistance and disaster relief missions.
