Announcing the ‘Holiday Art Bazaar’

The public is invited to attend the “Holiday Art Bazaar” on Dec. 18, 2021, a Saturday, from 9am to 3pm at the Kagman Community Center. This is an event for the residents of Saipan and the Precinct 5 community to promote local art, artists and small businesses and to provide a venue for people to buy locally made gifts in time for the holidays. Stay tuned for the announcement of participating vendors next Friday!

This event is sponsored by the offices of your Precinct 5 representatives and has been approved by the COVID-19 Task Force. The COVID safety guidelines of the 3W’s will be enforced: Wash your hands, Wear a Mask, Watch your Distance. (PR)

American Red Cross is going ‘Hollywood’

The American Red Cross-NMI Chapter will be hosting a fundraising dinner on Feb. 26, 2022, a Saturday, at the Kensington Hotel Saipan, from 6pm to 10pm, with the theme of “Hollywood.” This will be a fine dining event to showcase the Red Cross’ humanitarian work and recognize the hometown hero “stars” who have been a guiding light throughout the pandemic. Learn about advanced health care planning on Dec. 4 and Dec. 7

Man’amko and their families and caregivers will have another opportunity to learn about advanced care planning in two upcoming live Zoom sessions hosted by the Guam/Micronesia Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program under the University of Guam School of Health. 

Advanced care planning is the process of discussing and choosing future health care and medical treatment options in the event a patient loses the ability to make or communicate personal health care decisions.

The sessions will be led by Annamma Varghese, an assisting professor of nursing at UOG who holds a doctor of Nursing Practice degree, and Dr. Delores J. Lee, a family medicine physician at Evergreen Health Center.  

The sessions are free to members of the public in Guam and throughout Micronesia.
