Christmas Village entries sought
Looking for a creative way to spread Christmas cheer? The Marianas Visitors Authority, in collaboration with PDM Promoters and Team PDI, is seeking 10 participants for its Marianas Christmas Village display to be held in conjunction with this year’s annual Christmas in the Marianas signature event.
The MVA is inviting 10 participants to decorate a 10’x10’ area at the Christmas in the Marianas grounds at Garapan Fishing Base on Saipan. Participants may decorate with any Marianas-inspired Christmas theme for the chance to win cash prizes.
“We are redesigning this year’s Christmas Village contest for the public to showcase their creativity and Christmas spirit,” said MVA managing director Priscilla M. Iakopo. “We’re looking forward to the festive entries, which we expect will also be perfect for picture-taking at Christmas in the Marianas and throughout the holiday season.”
Cash prizes will be awarded: $2,000 for first place, $1,500 for second place, and $1,000 for third place.
The Marianas Christmas Village will be opened on Dec. 10, 2021, in conjunction with the Christmas in the Marianas signature event, which will feature holiday entertainment, including Christmas caroling, for visitors and residents. Food and drinks will also be sold. The festival will be from 5pm to 9pm on Dec. 10-11, 2021. The Marianas Christmas Village will remain on display through the new year.
