The Chamolinian Softball Association is holding its final ground rules meeting for the 3rd Annual Budweiser Slow Pitch Softball League season at 6pm today in the pavilion behind the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.

This is a mandatory meeting for all managers and coaches as official ground rules will be discussed. League officials will also pass out important team roster and waiver forms at this time.

Opening day for the 2012 season is set for Feb. 24 at the Capitol Hill Ballfield.

So far 10 of the 15 men’s teams have already be confirmed, however there are 12 groups still interested in filling the five remaining slots.

The first five teams to pay in full will be included in the competition.

Meanwhile, four of the five women’s teams are already accounted for with confirmation of the final squad expected in the coming days.

The opening ceremony will commence at 6pm next Friday followed by last year’s defending champions Man Amigos taking on a randomly selected opponent at 6:30pm.

Then another men’s match and a women’s pairing will be on tap later in the evening. All matchups will be randomly selected on opening day, after which the teams will find out their respective game schedules.
