Your favorite Thai lunch buffet at Tom Yum Restaurant along Middle Road in Garapan is back due to popular demand.
Restaurant owner Phannee Regan finally heeded the many requests after over a year of just serving ala carte meals due to COVID-19 concerns.
“We resumed our Thai lunch buffet early this month. It was very exciting to see people walk in and get surprised, ‘Hey, your buffet is back!’ People have been asking us when will we bring back the lunch buffet. After more than one year, and following ‘Green’ level protocols set by the COVID-19 Task Force, we gave it a go,” she said.
The all-Thai food offering at the buffet starts with the soup, followed by a variety of dishes, and ending with Thai dessert. “We always have six dishes prepared every day, so it is fresh and people will not get tired having the same thing,” Regan said.
Tom Yum Restaurant opened shop in 2019 with their signature Thai lunch buffet. Since the restaurant is located in Garapan, they attract residents as well as office and hospital workers who are craving for authentic Thai food.

“Aside from the taste and flavors of our dishes, our Thai lunch buffet is only $15 with free iced tea and, since it’s a buffet, customers are given flexibility. We also have a balanced selection: We have vegetables, meat and seafood,” Regan said.
Their most popular dish so far is their creamy Tom Yum soup. “I believe this was first served at our restaurant. It hits the mark, especially when it is raining outside, which has been the weather lately. Just the soup provides energy for anyone who has a lot of work ahead after lunch,” Regan added.
On top of Thai dishes, Tom Yum also serves American, Italian, and Chamorro dishes. “Since we open at 10am and close at 10pm, we serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For breakfast, we have American breakfast that includes one eggs, two link sausages, bacon and two pancakes or hash brown for only $11. To entice local tastes, our islander breakfast is a hit because it comes with ham, fried rice, two eggs, and a choice of bacon, link, or Portuguese sausages or Spam, also only $11,” Regan said.
