Robbery incident at a store in CK

A store within Chalan Kanoa, FZ Mart, was robbed early Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2021.

According to a Department of Public Safety news release, DPS received a 911 call on Tuesday at about 6:34am, reporting the robbery. Police dispatched to the scene met with the caller who stated that they got to the store earlier that morning at about 6am and noticed that the cash register area had scattered items throughout the floor and countertop. Although the suspect/(s) damaged the cameras within the store, the caller was able to retrieve some footage of the robbery, which was later shown to police.

At this time the items and the amount of money are unknown pending an inventory.

DPS would like to remind the public to be diligent if a person you know suspiciously has a lump sum of money.

If you have any information on the robbery that took place at FZ Mart within the village of Chalan Kanoa or if you have any knowledge of the whereabouts of any items mentioned to be taken from FZ Mart, call 911.
