SHEFA deadline set

The Saipan Higher Education Financial Assistance office announced yesterday that the deadline to submit supporting documents is on Sept. 30, 2021 (Thursday). All documents must be complete before submission. Office hours are from 7:30am to 4:30pm. (PR)

MVA Saipan office hours

COVID-19 testing at MCS

Mount Carmel School will host the staff from the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. to facilitate monthly COVID-19 testing for its students and employees. The first COVID-19 testing event will be on Sept. 25, 2021, from 8amM to 3pm, in the Maturana Building. While the testing event is not mandatory, parents are highly encouraged to register their child for the monthly event in order to keep its school community safe. Free webinar on supporting sexual violence survivors with disabilities

The Northern Marianas Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence, in collaboration with the CNMI Sexual Assault Response Team, will be hosting a free two-part webinar called “Improving Services & Response: Supporting People with Disabilities who Experience Sexual Violence” on Tuesday, Sept. 21, and Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021, via Zoom.

Both parts of the webinar will start at 8:30am and end at 12pm (Chamorro Standard Time). The webinar training will be led by Leanne Mull, co-director of Blue Tower Solutions and chair of the Responding to Victims of Disabilities Committee, Illinois Family Violence Coordinating Council.

Mull will cover topics to help improve understanding of, and direct service responses to, victims and survivors with disabilities who experience sexual violence.
