Community asked to take survey on resources for those with disabilities
The Northern Marianas College’s University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities is asking CNMI residents to complete a Community UCEDD Needs Assessment to assess the resources for the next five-year grant cycle.
The information collected will be used to address disability concerns in the community; align and leverage resources; and contribute to the work scope creation for the CNMI.
The deadline for completing the survey is Friday, Sept.17, 2021. To complete the survey, go to: https://tinyurl.com/cnmineeds2021
The CNMI UCEDD is part of the Pacific Basin University Centers for Excellence that consists of two sites: American Samoa and the CNMI.
The PBUCE’s goal is to strengthen governance within and across sites (NMC and American Samoa Community College) through regional and national partnerships, while building local capacity for interdisciplinary preservice and community outreach training to include consumers and family members.
Both sites work to provide service based on demonstrated culturally competent practices in order to support individuals with disabilities who are unserved and underserved at PBUCE sites and across the region.
The aim is to provide people with disabilities access to support and services that will increase community inclusion.
