Game Day at JKPL this Saturday
The Joeten-Kiyu Public Library invites the community to the Annual Game Day at Your Library this coming Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021, from 10am to 3pm.
Game Day is an annual celebration of games, play, libraries, and learning in honor of the late JKPL computer programmer Roy D. Rechebei. All activities are free and open to the public.
Game Day highlights will include Magic the Gathering and Prodigy hosted by the Information Technology Center. Seats for Magic the Gathering participants are limited to 16 players and will be available on a first come, first served basis. Participants of Magic the Gathering must provide their own lands.
Prodigy participants are welcome to provide their own headphones. Devices are limited. Game play will commence in the main lobby of the JKPL.
At the Children of Our Homeland Center (or Children’s Library), children and their families are invited to play a variety of the following fun-filled games: Wii, Bowling, Media Enhanced Books or AV2, trivia games, and more. As a treat, the Saipan Marianas Alpha Leo Club will be celebrity guest readers for Saturday Storytime.
