Saipan municipal council session moved to Monday
The scheduled meeting for the 16th Saipan and Northern Islands Municipal Council on Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021 is rescheduled to Monday, Aug. 23, 2021. The session will be held at 10am at the Saipan and Northern Mariana Islands Municipal Council office at the Kiosku, Chalan Kanoa, Saipan. The meeting agenda will include the Municipal Council building project and Kiosku repairs project, as well as the proposed user fee for the kiosku. (PR)
DPL sets homestead program outreach on Rota
The Department of Public Land will be conducting a community outreach hearing regarding the homestead program on Sept. 9, 2021, at the Rota Mayor’s Office starting at 5pm. Free Guam PTAC webinars on federal contracting
The Guam Procurement Technical Assistance Center is offering free live webinars for August 2021. Webinars run from 10am to 11:30am and will be conducted via Zoom. Links to the live webinar and the webinar evaluation will be emailed to all registered attendees 15 minutes before the start of the webinar.
– Aug. 19 – Cybersecurity: Federal Contractor Responsibilities—The Department of Defense is requiring cybersecurity certification for vendors. We will discuss the best way to comply with DOD’s requirement. The upcoming Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification and the DFARS Interim Rule will be discussed.
– Aug. 26 – Marketing to the federal government—The government buys products and services differently than the private sector. The Guam PTAC will discuss marketing strategies, essential documents, and how to get your company on “the list.”
