8th Women’s Summit on Aug. 26

The 8th Annual Women’s Summit will take place on Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021, from 9am to 3pm. The summit is co-sponsored by the CNMI Women’s Association and Women’s Affairs Office under the Governor’s Office, in collaboration with community partners from both the public and private sectors. This year’s theme is “Gender Equality: Key to Sustainable Development.”

This summit is part of the 2021 CNMI Women’s Month Celebration, which was held in March 2021, and is slated as part of events celebrating and promoting women of the CNMI throughout the year.

The panel discussions planned will focus on Sustainable Development Goal #5: Gender Equality; Women & Culture; Women & Health: Preventative Health Care; and Women & Peace: Leading the Conversation on Militarization in the CNMI.
