On June 13, 2021, the CNMI Department of Public Safety received a call reporting a sexual abuse of a minor case.

Faisao

Police met with the caller, who stated that Ichitaro Faisao had sexually abused two minors.

After a follow-up investigation, both minor victims confirmed the incident and stated that Faisao had also sexually abused another minor. The three victims told police that it began when Faisao returned from being off-island sometime around August of last year.

On July 6, 2021, a police officer drafted an affidavit and complaint of probable cause in support of an arrest warrant Rule 4, which was later signed by Superior Court Associate Judge Kenneth Govendo for the charges of sexual abuse of a minor in the third degree with a bail amount of $10,000.

The arrest warrant was executed on the same day and Faisao was taken into custody. (PR)
