A partnership between the Northern Marianas Technical Institute and the Northern Marianas College’s instructional sites on Tinian and Rota is being eyed as a means to bring NMTI’s programs to the two islands, according to NMTI interim chief executive officer Jodina Attao.

Attao has yet to meet with NMC’s new president, Dr. Galvin Deleon Guerrero, but she has already done so with former interim president Frankie Eliptico and the college’s acting executive directors from Tinian and Rota to discuss her ideas and the possibility of a partnership between the two.

Attao said that work will need to be done on both sites to ensure that NMTI will have ample space for its programs. “There’s a lot of renovations that [would] need to be done, [and] there’s a lot of workshops that need to be added in order for us to teach programs out there,” said Attao.
