The Northern Marianas Islands Volleyball Association, through FIVB Level III certified coach and Oceania Sports Education master educator Mike Rabago, will be hosting a week-long clinic for coaches.
Rabago will be back next week to continue coaching clinics on behalf of NMIVA beginning on Monday and concluding on Friday at the Northern Marianas Sports Association conference room at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium and the Agape School Gymnasium.
The event, which is free for interested coaches and players, is a great opportunity to gain more knowledge from a very experienced and multi-titled coach.
All the sessions will be in the evenings with the first two days, June 14 and 15, consisting of coaching instruction, practice planning, and more. The following two days will be an implementation of a player camp for girls and boys, U16 and U18. NMIVA will be allowing individuals ages 14 to 18 to join.
The schedule will be as follows: Monday, NMSA Conference Room, from 6:30pm to 9pm for coaches; Tuesday, Agape Gymnasium, from 6:30pm to 8pm for coaches; Wednesday, possible one-on-one sessions with Rabago or break; Thursday, Agape Gymnasium, from 6:30pm to 8pm for coaches and players; and Friday, Agape Gymnasium, from 7pm to 9pm for coaches and players.
Coaches who will be attending and have any players that would like to participate must email NMIVA president Somia Quan at president@nmivolleyball.org by Wednesday, June 16, as students will need their parent or guardian to sign a liability waiver for the camp.
