High-speed chase ends in wanted man’s arrest
Police arrested a man wanted for a slew of alleged crimes Monday morning in Koblerville, but not before leading them in a high-speed car chase that started in Garapan and ended in Koblerville.

According to a press release from the Department of Public Safety, at about 10:41am on Monday, DPS officers saw wanted suspect Don Pangelinan Sanchez Jr. aboard a black sedan in Garapan. Police attempted to conduct a violator stop, to no avail. The dark sedan picked up speed and led police to Koblerville.
While in Koblerville, the driver of the sedan switched to the oncoming lane before veering back into the eastbound lane, hitting a police car in the process. Police managed to stop the vehicle before ordering the occupants out of the vehicle.

The passenger of the sedan, Don Pangelinan Sanchez Jr., was arrested pursuant to an arrest warrant issued on April 12, 2021, for allegedly receiving stolen property, firearms owners identification requirement, removal of a firearms serial number, possession of a controlled substance and trafficking. He was served the arrest warrant and brought to the Kanoa Resort Alternate Care Site for COVID-19 clearance, before being transported to the Department of Corrections where he was booked and detained.
The driver of the vehicle, John Carlo G. Sanchez, was arrested for traffic violations; the vehicle was impounded. John Carlo G. Sanchez was brought to Kanoa resort for COVID-19 clearance, before being transferred to DOC where he was booked and detained.
