The Marianas Visitors Authority will hold its semi-annual general membership meeting on June 1, 2021, at the Royal Taga Ballroom of the Saipan World Resort at 2pm.

Registration will begin at 1:30pm. Details of the Marianas Tourism Resumption Plan will be presented, including COVID-19 protocols and quarantine, airlines, hotels, and other matters.

“Next week’s MVA’s next general membership meeting will provide a detailed overview of how we are moving forward with the gradual resumption of tourism in the Marianas, even as we continue to prioritize community safety,” said MVA managing director Priscilla M. Iakopo. “We invite all MVA members and non-member businesses to attend this important meeting.”

Due to COVID-19 protocols, seating is limited to one representative per company. RSVP should be made by May 28, 2021, by emailing the MVA Community Projects Division at communityprojects@mymarianas.com or calling 664-3200. There is no charge for admission.

The MVA also welcomes new businesses, agencies and individuals who want to actively participate in the Marianas’ top industry as MVA members. Membership is $100 annually.

Benefits include business listing on the MVA’s language-specific websites in Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and English; opportunities for business brochure distribution at MVA offices in the Marianas and internationally; opportunities to participate in travel and trade shows, sales seminars, and familiarization tours; detailed visitor data through monthly statistics reports; nomination and voting rights for the MVA board of directors; and the opportunity to be a supplier or contractor for the MVA. New and returning members for fiscal year 2021 can register and pay at www.mymarianas.com. (PR)
