Your quest for bargain hunting ends at Bargain Center located along Beach Road in Chalan Kanoa. With all items sold at low prices and at a discount, you are assured of getting quality items that won’t hurt your wallet.

According to longtime businessman and Bargain Center manager Mukesh Devjani, he opened Bargain Center in 2002 to cure boredom. “In my 30s, I used to do wholesale business in the Micronesia islands but my base was Saipan. I used to travel every two weeks and come back which leaves me 20 days in a month of doing nothing,” he said.

“That was the reason that inspired me to open my own shop and to cater to the community by retailing quality clothes, shoes, bags that are very affordable. Currently, I still sell wholesale in Chuuk, Pohnpei, and other Micronesia islands,” he added.

Bargain Center is the official distributor of the U.S. brand Dickies that is known in the market as durable as well as fashionable. The brand includes jeans, shorts, shirts, and jackets. “We also carry Wrangler and most products of Hanes. We have other notable brands and we carry everything—clothes, apparel, shoes, slippers, bags, accessories, and more whether it’s for work, school, events, or outdoor activities,” Devjani said.

“My two philosophies in business are pricing and customer satisfaction. We try to keep our prizes low for customers because not everybody on Saipan receive high salaries. We try to keep it reasonable and this is also the reason why we are not expanding so as not to incur expenses that the customer will have to bear if we increase our prices. Customer satisfaction is always on our mind. I consider our customers family more than friends. We see them come in every day to shop, talk to us, and give us ideas on what to bring to the store that helps a lot,” he added

Devjani said that since it’s graduation season, Bargain Center carries shirts, pants, and dresses appropriate for graduating students. “At Bargain Center, we have clothes for everybody and for any occasion. People come to us when they want to save money but get the best products. We want to keep business that way.”

“We would like to thank the community for their patronage and trust. We appreciate all of them,” he added.
Bargain Center is open from Monday to Sunday, 11am-8pm. For more information, call (670) 235-4450 or look them up on Facebook: Bargain Center Saipan.
