Bayani Association honors mothers

In honor of Mother’s Day, which was celebrated on May 9 this year, the Bayani Association handed out an estimated 440 sets composed of two boxes of chocolates after five Masses at the Kristo Rai Church in Garapan.
The group gave away boxes of chocolates at the Kristo Rai Church after the 8am, 9:30am, and 5pm Masses, the 6pm Saturday anticipated Mass, and 6am Mass.
This was the first time the group did this Mother’s Day giveaway, and also the first time for the Kristo Rai Parish to participate in this activity.
Bayani Association secretary Marie Caamic Meister said this was the idea of association president Annamae Adaza, who thought of doing something for mothers on May 9, 2021, particularly since the group’s latest fundraising was such a success.
“We are so blessed and thankful to our members who always give their support when it comes to the activities, projects, and fundraisings of the organization,” Adaza said.
Before the blessings of mothers, Fr. Albert Pellazar, OAR allowed the association to play a short video about being a mother. “You could see a lot of teary eyes after watching the video,” Adaza added.
The organization is grateful to the Tan Siu Lin Foundation for providing their new shirts, and for the donors during their Mother’s Day fundraising: Marissa Hardt, Socorro Huliganga, C&R Corp., Bhiya Canadalla, and the president of Northern Marianas Bartenders Association, Lito Espino, for their generosity.
