Starting last Saturday, May 1, 2021, the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library’s main lobby will be closed for two months as it undergoes extensive repair due to the damage caused by Super Typhoon Yutu in 2018.

While the main lobby undergoes construction, JKPL has designated the Children of Our Homeland Center—or the Children’s Library—as the alternate location for general library services to the public.

The Children of Our Homeland Center will open for limited library services. Patrons are encouraged to visit the Children’s Library to access the free WiFi, computers, and check in/check out books. “We ask the public to please check out our free virtual learning services available at our website www.cnmilib.org. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we undergo this period of construction. We thank you for your support. Stay safe, CNMI,” said the library in a statement last week.
