Last April 18, 2021, the Bayani Association, in coordination with Venesa Buen and volunteers, distributed care packages to 30 families in Paciano, Rizal Bay, Laguna in the Philippines.

Due to the implementation of a Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine as a COVID-19 mitigation measure, volunteers could not distribute in one place to avoid social gatherings but they were able to let the recipients pick up the donations.

The care packages included canned goods, bread, spread, noodles, 15-lb bag of rice, coffee, biscuits, powdered milk, face shield, and alcohol.

“We can always help in our little way and we are so grateful to our donors, Ms. Anna Mercado and Jimmy Del Peralta, said Bayani Association president Annamae Adaza.

The volunteers were Fhe Calabia, Dolly Driz, Rowena Lapitan, Ruth Faith Navarro, and Buen.

The Bayani Association is a non-profit organization. If you wish to collaborate in giving back to the community, call Adaza at 285-4388 or secretary Marie Paz Meister at 785-0349. (PR)
