CHCC to vaccinate more this Saturday
The Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. will be setting up a pop-up COVID-19 vaccination site at the Kagman Community Center in Kagman this Saturday from 8am to 12pm. CHCC will be administering the Moderna vaccine and has 200 slots available.

On CHCC’s official Facebook account, it also reminded the community that the COVID-19 vaccine won’t make them sick with the virus itself. CHCC said that none of the authorized and recommended COVID-19 vaccines or vaccines that are currently in development in the United States contain the virus.
The CNMI currently uses two COVID-19 vaccines—the one made by Pfizer/BioNTech and the Moderna Inc. vaccine. The CNMI has paused the use of the Johnson & Johnson/Janssen COVID-19 vaccine at the recommendation of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
So far, the CNMI has administered 37,966 COVID-19 shots. This includes administering 32,961 of the Pfizer vaccine, 4,956 Moderna vaccine, and 49 Janssen vaccine shots.
COVID-19 in Guam
Guam will be administering free first doses of the Pfizer vaccine for ages 16 and 17 old only and the Moderna vaccine for those 18 years and older, and free second dose of the Pfizer and Moderna this Saturday from 12pm to 6:30pm at the University of Guam’s Field House in Mangilao.
According to Guam’s Joint Information Center, Guam residents who wish to get vaccinated for their first dose must register at the bit.ly/vaccinateguapr20-apr24 to schedule and learn more about eligibility.
JIC reminds those who want to get vaccinated and those who are vaccinated to bring their immunization card (first dose), proof of Guam residency, and appointment confirmation.
