Camacho, Borja tighten grip on division leads

Michael Camacho and Theresa Borja garnered perfect scores in their respective classes during the third leg of the Marianas Racing Association’s 2021 Point Series Race last Sunday at the Cowtown Raceway Park in Marpi.

Camacho and Borja, who have held the series lead from the start by coasting past foes in the past three rounds, are adamant about extending their reign.

Camacho placed first in both heats of the race in the Mini 2 Class, for the third time in a row, to gain 50 points bumping his overall score to 150.

Following Camacho is Ethan Yumul, who consistently held second place throughout the series, gained another 44 points after placing second in both heats last Sunday to bring his score up to 132.

Completing the Top 3 is Mariana Alvarez, with a consistent third place streak, who gained 40 points after placing third in both heats of last Saturday’s race to bring her overall score to 120.

In the Mini ATV Class, Borja also held first place throughout the last three rounds giving her an overall score of 150.

Just below Borja is Jesus Santos who holds an overall score of 130 points. Santos gained an additional 44 points in last Saturday’s series after placing second in both heats.

Rounding up the Top 3 in the Mini ATV Class is Melvin Reyes with a score of 116. Reyes placed third in both heats of the third leg of the series to gain an additional 40 points.

Devin Yumul still dominates the Mini 1 Class despite losing momentum in the third leg of the series. Yumul gained 47 points to bump his overall score up to 147.

Harley Susulin remains Top 2 with an overall score of 122, but third place Leighton Palacios is closing in on Susulin with an overall score of 120. Palacios took second in the third leg last Saturday to bump her score to 120.

Nanako Celis still holds the reins in the Powerpuff Class with 39 points, followed by Billie Pangelinan at a close second with 134 points. Completing the Top 3 is Shaniah Alvarez with an overall score 115.
