Peter “Dung” Tenorio was named the Marianas Golf Association’s March Ace of the Month last March 13 at the Kingfisher Golf Links.
Tenorio and Joe “Kamikaze” Camacho initially tied for the lowest net score of the day with a 67, but Tenorio edged out Camacho on a scorecard playoff to bag the March monthly title.
Coming in at a close third place was Jerome “Chow” Sablan with a net score of 69.
Tenorio conquered a total of 25 participants and one guest who joined the monthly ace tournament.
Meanwhile, the closest to the pin winners were J.J. Atalig who got closest to the pin in hole No. 6 and No. 15, Camacho in hole No. 12, and Gerald Guerrero in hole No. 8.
In addition, MGA also welcomed their newest members, Freddy Cataluna and William Retardo.
MGA’s golf season runs from May 2020 through April 2021 which means there is only one Ace spot left before the start of the 2021-2022 season.
MGA’s April Ace and first day of the Ace of Aces tournament is scheduled for April 17 at Laolao Bay Golf & Resort.
The second day of the Ace of Aces tournament will be on May. The Ace of Aces format is a two-round tournament where MGA combines the score.
MGA holds its monthly aces once a month circulating between the four current golf courses and is inviting interested golfers to join the MGA club.
All interested participants may reach out to a current MGA member for details. The annual fee for new members is $40 and returning members is $30. The one-time fee includes an MGA polo shirt and hat.
