Join the food experts from Payless SuperFresh and Surf Club for Triple J’s Healthy Cooking Demo this Saturday, March 20, at the Sabalu Market in Garapan from 8am to 10am.
Check out the Triple J tent where they will be giving away healthy meal samples using fresh local fruits and vegetables. “We will be promoting healthy meals that are tasty and easy to prepare at home,” said a company statement yesterday.
The Healthy Cooking Demo will be featuring the following recipes:

Item 1. Tri Colored Bean Salad: This salad is made with tri-colored organic beans and a tasty lime dressing. Super easy and packed with great fresh veggies including fresh local tomatoes. This dish is made with organic beans, low in sodium, and uses heart healthy avocado oil.
Item 2. Sriracha Shrimp Appetizer: This simple appetizer is a little sweet and a little spicy. A beautiful marinated shrimp on top of a piece of grilled pineapple gives you flavor without the fat and sodium. Finished with some flavorful local cilantro. This dish is low sodium, uses avocado oil which is low in bad cholesterol (LDL) and high in good cholesterol (HDL).

Item 3. CAB Sirloin Tip with Tzatziki on a piece of Naan bread: This is a flavor-packed dish with tons of herbs and simple ingredients. Steak is herbaceous with a zing, mellowed by a cool creamy Tzatziki featuring local cucumber—all delivered on a warm flat bread Naan, the perfect vehicle to hold all of that goodness. This dish uses sirloin tip steak, which is lean cut. The light sour cream base adds creaminess minus the normal fat of regular sour cream, and the use of cucumber and fresh herbs keeps the calories down.
