Due to the recent detection of COVID-19 community transmission, the United Carolinians Association has postponed its planned launch of Project Liffang until further guidance from the Governor’s Covid-19 Task Force is issued.

“We keep those affected in our thoughts and prayers, and hope that the excellent work of the Governor’s COVID-19 Task Force and the front-liners to date prevents any further spread. We will inform the community of the new launch date of Project Liffang once it is decided,” said UCA president Frank Rabauliman.

Project Liffang was supposed to kick off this coming Saturday, March 20, 2021, at the Carolinian Utt in Garapan.

The project, which is a UCA collaboration with the Carolinian Affairs Office and CNMI Women’s Association, is intended to promote local entrepreneurship and help the community through these trying times. The project is the result of brainstorming among the UCA board of directors, which has been wanting to implement a community project since 2020. (PR)
