TECO launches art contest

As part of the celebration of the 42nd anniversary of the Taiwan Relations Act, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Guam is partnering with the government of Guam and the community to organize the Guam & Taiwan: Past, Present, & Future Friendship art drawing contest that invites Guam students to interpret the friendship between Guam and Taiwan.

The theme for the art contest is, “Guam-Taiwan Timeless Friendship.”

The dates for artwork submissions will be from March 22 to 31, 2021. The exhibit date is set for April 3-8, 2021. The awards ceremony will be on April 10, 2021, at the Micronesia Mall.

The government partners for the event include the Office of the Governor, Guam Visitors Bureau, Guam Council of the Humanities and Art, University of Guam Endowment Foundation, Guam International Airport, Guam Economic and Development Authority, and Guam Chamber of Commerce.

Corporate sponsors have donated prizes for winners and participants. Prizes include new tablets, laptops, and more. The current corporate sponsors include ASC Trust, Atkins Kroll Toyota, China Airlines, Chen Yi Kuo Insurance Agent, Docomo Pacific, First Commercial Bank, GTA, Guam Animals in Need, Harvest House, Marianas Electronics, Pacific Data Systems, TEMES, and Sanford Technology.
