MP United upsets foe in M-League

MP United Football Club gained a 2-0 record in the win-loss standings in Division A of the M-League Spring 2021 season after besting NMI U18 National B in their matchup last Sunday at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.
MP United nipped NMI U18 B, 2-1, in their matchup last Sunday behind Kwangjo Lim and Joshua Abragan who made a goal apiece.
MP United held the lead from the start behind Abragan who made his goal in the 19th minute of the match followed by Lim who fired his goal in the 49th minute. MP United amped up its defense to ensure its foe could not gain a come-from-behind victory.
In a last-ditch effort to turn the tables in their favor, NMI U18 B’s Kaden Church fired the team’s only point in the 80th minute but his efforts fell short.
DIVISION A

Paire coasted to victory against Old B Bank behind Eric Barajas who scored three of the team’s 5 goals.
NMI U18 A 5, The One 0
NMI U18 A bested The One behind Akira Kadokura who led the way with his three goals with help from Aloy Angeles and Kohtaro Goto who added one goal apiece.
Tan Holdings 1, Kanoa 0
Tan Holdings took the win over Kanoa with Martin Jambor making the only goal in the 65th minute.
DIVISION B
Bangladesh FC 3, Matansa 3
Bangladesh FC and Matansa went neck-and-neck with their match ending in a draw.
Shirley’s 3, Women’s NT 0
Shirley’s outclassed Women’s NT behind HoJin Woo, Hoin Ryu, and Jerry Tan who each contributed a goal each.
Saipan United 3, Island Star 0
In the final match in Division B, before Island Star forfeited in the second half, Saipan United’s Saixian Bagsic landed two goals to secure the win while Guohua Hou added one.
